The House · Founder-led

Built close to the work.

House of Eight is an international private art advisory shaped by more than two decades spent across art, technology, research, and complex private transactions. The practice is intentionally personal, direct, and selective.

01 · Our approach

Serious work can still feel personal.

Clients speak with the people doing the thinking, reviewing the material, and moving the work forward. We stay close to each mandate because important details are often found in the conversation between the object, the records, the market, and the people involved.

We value clarity over performance, thoughtful questions over quick answers, and relationships that continue beyond a single transaction.

02 · Note from the founderPrivate by design

The work has always come first.

I built House of Eight around a simple conviction: meaningful decisions about art deserve rigor, curiosity, and a person who remains close enough to notice what can be missed.

The practice is intentionally selective. That allows us to stay present through the research, the difficult questions, the quiet opportunities, and the decisions that shape a collection long after a transaction is complete.

As the House grows, that principle will remain unchanged. We will keep looking beyond the object alone, toward the histories, markets, ideas, and forms of stewardship that determine what art can become over time.

From beyond the frame,

01

Discretion

Private information stays private. Access and documentation are shared with purpose.

02

Clarity

We explain what we know, what requires further work, and how we reached a view.

03

Independence

Our recommendations begin with the client's objectives and the quality of the work.

04

Curiosity

Research, context, and continued learning are central to how we approach art and value.

04 · EditorialThe House Index

A wider conversation around art and value.

The House Index extends the practice into a twice-monthly field note on art, provenance, archives, culture, value, and the markets moving around them.

It is conceived as a publication in volumes, published independently by House of Eight.
